About the client

Discovery Education is an online educational platform providing K-12 learning to students across the globe. They’re available as extra resources for schools or as curriculum-aligned self-study resources for independent students.

The challenge

Discovery Education brought us educational materials to localize into multiple languages, including Arabic, French, and Spanish. These include video modules, PDF worksheets, desktop publishing, and dubbing for animated series.

Accuracy here was especially important, and Discovery Education wanted to ensure the translations were meaningful and relevant in each language.

Our solutions

We worked closely with all our translators to maintain accuracy and cultural relevance. 

We translated modules, video scripts and managed the voice dubbing — including tailoring the characters’ mouth movement to match the foreign-language dubs. 

Our overall work helped make Discovery Education’s materials not simply appear as versions of the original English, but as if they’d been originally produced in each language.
