Broadcast-ready Scripts & Professional Transcriptions
Different transcripts serve different purposes. A basic transcript (dialogue, time codes, and IDs) may be used for editing and review. Meanwhile, more in-depth transcripts are often used for legal and compliance purposes, such as a combined continuity and spotting list (CCSL).
Cinepros has been an industry source for specialized transcripts since 2013. Our script specialists will work closely with you to ensure your script is accurate and compliant.
Different Broadcast Scripts, Different Formats
Some of the common industry broadcast scripts are dialogue lists, As-Broadcast Scripts, and Combined Continuity and Spotting Lists, as well as standard transcripts.
-
Standard Transcript: Contains spoken dialogue, time codes stamps, and speaker IDs
-
Dialogue List: Similar to a standard transcript; may contain on-screen text and foreign-language content.
-
As-Broadcast Script (ABS): Contains spoken dialogue, time code stamps, speaker IDs, as well as pertinent on-screen text and possibly setting notes (e.g. exterior of school, daytime)
-
Combined Continuity and Spotting List: Contains scene-by-scene descriptions along with to-the-frame time code stamps; also contains all spoken dialogue and speaker IDs
